America’s Cup Yacht Design
The fastest boat usually wins the America’s Cup

Yep, this page is out of date, but I’ve added a few interesting links. I just got the new web publishing system working and now I’m going through all the pages to update them. This page will soon get a major makeover.
The design battle for the 35th America’s Cup in 2017 has already begun. The design rule for the new AC62 catamaran has been published. It will be a foiling wing sail catamaran, like the AC72’s which raced in the 2013 America’s Cup.
AC72 – the yachts sailed in 2013
AC62 – this class was dropped in March 2015 favor of the smaller America’s Cup Class
The change angered Luna Rossa team owner Patrizio Bertelli, and he withdrew his challenge.
I’ll update this page soon with info about the AC Class: 15m long (about 49 feet) with a crew of six.
